Recognizing his determination to rebuild his life, our team designed a unique solution: a wheelcart—a hybrid of a wheelchair and a mobile cart—to empower him to become self-reliant. With this innovative tool, he can now sell essentials like water bottles, snacks, and other small items at local markets, reigniting his ability to earn a dignified living.

I'm grateful to have contributed financially to help kickstart his business, but this achievement was only possible through the collaborative efforts of our Lions Club family. Together, we didn't just provide a wheelcart; we restored confidence, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

To top it all, I was deeply honored to receive a badge of appreciation from our Lions Club District(325 R) Governor for this initiative. This recognition is a testament to what we can achieve when we channel our resources and empathy toward uplifting those in need.

We’re beyond excited to share the amazing success of Hastakala Nepal at Chitwan Mahotsav 2081, which took place from January 9 to January 23, 2025 at the Exhibition Ground, Narayani River Bank, Narayangarh, Chitwan. The event was nothing short of incredible, and we’re so grateful for the overwhelming support we received. Our team worked tirelessly to showcase our handmade, hand-knitted, and crocheted products, and it paid off! By the end of the event, we were almost sold out—a result that blew us away. The visitors loved our creations, from cozy socks and mittens to our adorable keyrings and stuffed animals. It was truly heartwarming to see how much people appreciated the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. But the excitement didn’t stop there. We had some amazing interactions with local artisans who approached us during the fair, expressing interest in working with us. Not only that, but many of them asked about receiving training in our handcrafting techniques. This really touched our hearts and showed just how much people value the work we do. After thinking it over, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re planning to offer training programs in June 2025! We want to help inspire and uplift other artisans, share our skills, and contribute to preserving the beautiful traditions of Nepali craftsmanship. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us! Looking ahead, we’re already gearing up for next year. Hastakala Nepal will once again be participating in the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), and we’re also excited to return to one of our favorite events, the Ratnanagar Mahotsav 2082. These fairs have given us such a fantastic platform to showcase our products and connect with people from all walks of life, and we can’t wait to do it again in 2025! Seeing people appreciate the craftsmanship, tradition, and love that go into every piece was truly rewarding. This fair was a huge success for us! We connected with customers from diverse backgrounds, received amazing feedback, and even saw many returning visitors who came back to our booth for more. The support and encouragement we received have further strengthened our vision to share Nepal’s rich handmade heritage with the world. And here’s the exciting news—we will be back for CNE 2025! After such an amazing experience, we can’t wait to return next year with new designs, fresh collections, and even more passion for handcrafted excellence.
